Mesotherapy- Body Sculpting

Mesotherapy is a procedure used for weight loss and body sculpting to reduce, eliminate and contour specific undesired fat pockets. This method targets the receptors on fat cells that produce lipogenesis (fat production) and lipolysis (fat breakdown).

The technique involves small amounts of medication, vitamins and supplements are injected into the fat and connective tissue which makes up the middle layer of skin called the mesoderm.

Mesotherapy is generally considered a safe procedure and requires no anesthesia. The injections cause slight discomfort, similar to the pain experienced from waxing. The cost of mesotherapy varies based on the areas being treated and may run anywhere from 2 to 10 sessions depending on the severity of the problem being targeted.

Based on individual requirements, the doctor selects a formula consisting of several medications that block alpha receptors and stimulate the beta receptors. Once injected into the skin, the formula slowly diffuses into the fat, and breaks it down. The number of weight loss and body sculpting treatments required varies from person to person
